Talent Show: You're invited to Highland View Academy's Junior Class talent show and auction on November 5, 2016 at 7:30pm. There will be a variety show of interesting talents, concessions will be sold, and there will also be a silent auction. It will be located in HVA's school gymnasium. The entrance fee is $8 for adults; $5 for 12 and under; Free for 3 and under.

Shooting Stars Basketball: The Shooting Stars (Grades 1-4) Basketball Teams will start practicing on Mondays beginning next Monday, November 7, from 4:00-5:00 pm. If you are wanting your child to participate, please return sign-up form and fees by Monday, November 7.
Clubs Next Week: Gymnastics will meet on Monday, November 7, from 3:15-4:15 pm. “What We Believe” and Crocheting Club will meet next Wednesday, November 9, from 3:15-4:15 pm.
Comets Basketball Practice: On Tuesday, November 8 and Thursday, November 10, Grades 5-8 will have basketball practice from 3:00-4:30 pm. There will be a brief meeting on Tuesday, November 8, with parents of basketball players from 8:00-8:15 am in the gymnasium.
Stamp Club: Stamp Club will return to meeting on the first Wednesday of each month in December.
Warm Clothing for the Homeless: Please help the Young Adults Class of Martinsburg SDA Church for the second year in a row with providing warm clothing for the needy and homeless of downtown Martinsburg. All items donated will be handed out on Tuesday, November 22, from noon to 2 pm in front of the Martinsburg Library. Donations may be dropped off at the school or the church (Coat Closet). Please put items in a bag or box and mark them “Homeless”.
Dress Down Days: The Student Council is having Dress Down Days on the 1st and 3rdTuesday of every month. The cost to participate is $1. The next Dress Down Day for $1 is Tuesday, November 15.
Thanksgiving Dinner/NOON DISMISSAL: On Friday, November 18, parents will drop students off at the Martinsburg SDA Church between 7:45 and 8:00 am where students will practice their Christmas Program. Following the practice, the parents are invited to eat a Thanksgiving Lunch at 11:30 am in the church fellowship hall with their child/ren. Students will be dismissed after the lunch. There will be no Before or After School Care on this day.
