David Smith

David P. Smith, the current Grade 6-8 teacher here at Rocky Knoll School, graduated from Union College in Lincoln, NE, in 1987; with Bachelor Degrees in History and English Education. With decades of teaching experience behind him, he has taught all grades from 1 – 12, has taught on the campus of a boarding academy, numerous one-teacher schools, multi-teacher schools, and single classrooms at larger schools. He has served for decades as a teacher, principal, and a secondary-vice principal. He brings a broad range of professional and personal experience into his classroom. Foremost to his teaching is his love for and devotion to Jesus Christ. Students in his classroom are always busy learning and working; and experience fast-paced, very busy days, as they accept the challenge of a banner displayed in their classroom which says, “If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you.” Mr. Smith considers it a privilege to be of service to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to help educate his students for eternity.
